Run/Walk for Home 5k This Saturday!

Come to downtown Athens for the 18th Annual Silver & Archibald Run/Walk for Home 5K! The start/finish will be at the Classic Center. Registration is $15.00 by 3/31/09; $20.00 afterwards to race day.

Proceeds from the race will benefit the Athens Area Habitat for Humanity and the Athens Area Homeless Shelter.

What a beautiful weekend for building! We had large volunteer groups out at both build sites making great progress on the homes. Thank you to all who came out and donated their time and efforts to our mission. Also, a special thanks to Subway Five Points and Subway Lexington for donating lunch to our hardworking volunteers!

Athens Area Habitat had a great time at the Home & Garden Show this past weekend. We met a lot of wonderful people and ate some great chili.! Thank you to our German volunteers for cooking up some great authentic German Chili and congrats to our competitors!
