Abraham House is Rocking and Rolling

The Abraham House has officially begun, and Habitat couldn't be more excited. A tri-congregational effort that includes Milledge Avenue Baptist Church, the Al-Huda Islamic Center, and the Congregation Children of Israel, the Abraham Alliance has build houses in the past and are looking forward to completing the rennovation of a home in Stonehenge. Habitat would like to thank the Abraham Alliance for it's continuous contribution to this community a well as the Human and Economic Development Department for their support. Let's get that house done!

Building on a Dream

Representatives of UGA Habitat and FIMRC got together and helped coronate the Building on a Dream House with it's first official build day. Volunteers gt the floor done in record time and managed to beat the imminent rain. Don't forget to check out UGA Habitat all this week, in which they celebrate Act! Speak! Build! week, their yearly tradition.

Habitat gets it's "Hands" on the Community

Volunteers from Habitat as well as all over the county participated in Hands on Athens last weekend. Local businesses and non-profits spent Friday through Sunday building and repairing local homes throughout the Athens area. Habitat would like to thank members of Beta Alpha Psi, Uga Habitat, local Athens high schools, and everyone else who came out and participated on behalf of us. It was truly a weekend to remember.
